Hi All,

For all those summer/beach lovers, here is a little info about some of the wonderful beaches in and around Mornington, Victoria.

Beaches in Mornington include Mother’s, Mills, Scout, Shire Hall, Mothers and Royal. All the beaches in the nearby area of Mornington are great for the whole family, from a stroll along the beach taking in all the surrounds including beach boxes and more to playing a variety of sports and games – the beach is your imaginations playground. Why not hire a yacht or boat and take in the view from the bay; on a clear day you can see the city skyline, or admire the stunning houses along the cliff top. You could also try your luck at a spot of fishing. The Mornington Yacht Club and pier are located conveniently within a short stroll from Main Street with car parking facilities available. Also located here is The Rocks restaurant open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

There are also numerous picnic and barbecue facilities located along the foreshore along with a boardwalk and lookouts around Schnapper point too.

To be rest assured beaches in the area are patrolled by the Mornington Life saving club during the summer months - making them great for quick dip in the water to cool off or spending a day on the beach enjoying the warmth. (Don’t forget to slip, slop, slap). Kids will have a ball making sand castles or splashing about in the water shallows. The dogs can also enjoy the beaches in summer time after certain times during daylight savings.

For something different why not think about renting one of the numerous beach huts along the foreshore and take pleasure in the privacy of your very own hut with the waters edge only metres away, you could bring the whole family and friends too!
